I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Good and bad persons enter upon you, so I suggest that you order the
mothers of the Believers (i.e. your wives) to observe veils." Then Allah revealed the Verses of Al-

The wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqi` at Medina) to answer
the call of nature at night. `Umar used to say to the Prophet (ﷺ) "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's
Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam`a the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ) went out at `Isha' time and
she was a tall lady. `Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he
desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be
revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes). - Hadith Al Bukhari 146 (islam)

He said: O Asma', when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it does not suit her that she displays her parts of body except this and this, and he pointed to his face and hands.
Abu Dawud said: This is a mursal tradition (i.e. the narrator who transmitted it from 'Aishah is missing) Khalid b. Duraik did not see 'Aishah.

During his caliphate, Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was known for his strength in religion and justice among the subjects while guiding them in matters of their religion and worldliness. In this hadith, Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: “Umar saw a slave,” i.e: Umar bin al-Khattab saw a slave girl, “with a jilbab,” i.e., a garment on her head with which she was veiled and masked, and this veil was reserved for free women because of what they were exposed to from the debaucheries of the city when they went out to relieve their needs, so God Almighty distinguished them by the veil, “and he said, 'Are you free? “Are you free?”, i.e.: She said, “No.” He said, “Put it off your head,” i.e., take it off your head. “The robes are for the free women,” i.e., it was imposed on them to distinguish the free women from the handmaids, “and she stammered,” i.e: She delayed in obeying his order, so he took the shield (a small stick he held in his hand) and struck her head until she dropped it, i.e: So that she would not be in the form of the free women, and so that the free women would not be attributed to the free women in terms of dressing up and walking; because the handmaids are devoted to serving their masters, so they often go out and walk around. In the hadith: The Imam's keenness to guide the subjects and take their hands. In it: The ruler may resort to ta'zir if he finds transgression in the subjects or slowness in carrying out the Shari'ah command. - Dorar Shaybah 6295 (islam)

The Prophet (ﷺ) brought Fatimah a slave which he donated to her. Fatimah wore a garment which, when she covered her head, did not reach her feet, and when she covered her feet by it, that garment did not reach her head. When the Prophet (ﷺ) saw her struggle, he said: There is no harm to you: Here is only your father and slave.
